UNIL announces the appointment of Ms. Naana Bedu-Addo as the Secretary to the UNIL Board effective October 24, 2012. Ms. Naana Bedu-Addo replaces Mr. Michael Tyson who resigned as Acting Secretary of the Board of Directors with effect from October 24, 2012.
Ms. Naana Bedu-Addo qualified as a lawyer in 2003; before she was called to the Bar she had worked with various institutions and held positions such as the World Travel Advisor, Ghana Air Shuttle from 1998 – 1999. She worked with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Radio Producer French Section & Programme Operations from 1999 to 2003. She later joined Hesse & Larsey Law firm as a Legal Practitioner from 2003 to 2005. Naana worked with the Ministry of Justice & Attorney-General’s Department as Assistant State Attorney a role she played as a member of prosecution team at various trails at the Ministry. Before joining UNIL as the Legal Adviser and Company Secretary on October 24, 2012 she was with the Volta River Authority as Principal Counsel. In her leisure time she enjoys sports, reading and designing clothes. She is also an active member of her church choir.
